Review: Beth (Angel Series Book 1.6) by Tracy Lorraine

(The Angel Series, book 1.6)
Author: Tracy Lorraine
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release date: 1st August, 2017

Running away never solves anything. But that is exactly what Beth is doing after a devastating trip to the mall brings her world crashing down around her. With her family already back in England, Beth jumps on the first flight home in the hope the distance will heal her broken heart. Beth vows off all men, especially the sexy older ones who are so good at leaving her wounded. All her good intentions are smashed to pieces though when she locks eyes on a dark and delicious stranger at a New Year’s party she’s been dragged to. Could he be the perfect solution to putting her heartache behind her? Daniel works hard and parties harder. He may be approaching forty but he has no intention of settling down like everyone seems to be doing around him. Women come and go and he is more than happy to show them the door when their time is up. The last thing Daniel expects is to find himself captivated by a young woman at his sister’s New Year’s party. He knows from the minute he locks eyes on her that there is only one place she is spending her New Year, in his bed. But what if Beth is different to all the others and one night isn’t enough?

My review is about the book 1.6 in The Angel Series by Tracy Lorraine, it called Beth. Although I didn’t read the other books in the series yet, I understand the story, but is recommended to you all the series! You won’t be lost at all. Is a contemporary romance starred by Beth and your pair, Daniel.

Beth is a woman who recently suffered a sad overturn in your love life and after that, in a party everything changed. With the goal of trying to forget all that brought her sadness, she end up in a casual sex which will change her life from the day to night. Daniel, the millionaire CEO takes the main character to a week in Paris, France.

With a story set in England in the first act, the author wrote a short book, which makes it fast and so enjoyable, she writes so well! When you realize, you’re in the end. The story was well told in first person with interleaved chapters between Beth and Daniel. Is an incredible tip for who’s like short reads!

However, something really bothered me in this book for being so short, some sequels in the scenes doesn’t made sense, it doesn’t have a specific explanation. I think the author could have valued the resolution of Beth's past more with the present, this is clear at the end of the work in question.

My rating: 4.5/5.0

Tracy Lorraine is a M/F and M/M contemporary romance author. Tracy has just turned thirty and lives in a cute Cotswold village in England with her husband, baby girl and lovable but slightly crazy dog. Having always been a bookaholic with her head stuck in her Kindle Tracy decided to try her hand at a story idea she dreamt up and hasn’t looked back since. Chasing Logan is Tracy’s sixth book with many more in the making.
